Dr. Nisrine Haidar
Dr. Haidar completed her dental education at the University of Manitoba – Faculty of Dentistry in 2008. Committed to offering top-notch treatments to her patients, she continuously attends courses and seminars to enhance her skills. Additionally, she stays updated on the latest technologies in the dental field.
With a passion for serving patients of all ages, Dr. Haidar strives to deliver the finest dental outcomes. She specializes in Invisalign treatments and holds a Gold Plus certification for the Ottawa area.
Dr. Khalil Samhat
Dr. Samhat earned his degree from the University of Manitoba – Faculty of Dentistry in 2005. Since then, he has been dedicated to advancing his expertise through ongoing participation in courses and conferences.
Dr. Samhat specializes in handling complex cases, providing a wide array of treatments including fillings, root canals, implants, prosthetics, gum surgery, and aesthetic procedures. He finds dental rehabilitation particularly rewarding as it encompasses various facets of dentistry and enables him to make a significant positive impact on his patients’ lives.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Samhat cherishes spending quality time with his family, including his wife, Dr. Nisrine, and their four children, Yasmeen, Dalia, Youssef, and Ali.
Dr. Mohanad Azzawi
Dr. Mohanad Azzawi stands as a testament to excellence in dentistry, having charted an impressive trajectory in his career. He obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) from Al-Mustansiriya University College of Dentistry in 2009, followed by a Master of Science (MSc) in Conservative Dentistry from the same institution in 2016.
With an unwavering commitment to dental education, Dr. Azzawi served as a Clinical Instructor at Al-Mustansiriya University College of Dentistry, sharing his knowledge and nurturing the growth of aspiring dental professionals. In 2022, he achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the National Dental Examining Board of Canada process, earning the esteemed title of “General Practitioner.”
Patty
Patty M. Registered Dental Hygienist Patty is a seasoned registered dental hygienist with over 30 years of experience in both general and periodontal care. Known for her commitment to patient education and preventive care, Patty has built her career on providing thorough, compassionate support to patients with diverse dental needs. Fluent in both English and French, she ensures a welcoming experience for patients from all backgrounds. Outside of her professional life, Patty is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, downhill skiing, and exploring new travel destinations. A regular at the gym, she values staying active and spending quality time with family and friends.
Emily
I’m Emily, a dental assistant at Fairwinds Dental. Dr. Samhat and Dr. Haidar ignited my passion for dentistry during my high school co-op period with them. I’ve cherished it ever since. With about 6 years of experience as a dental assistant here, we collaborate as a team to ensure our office is serene and comfortable for our patients. We operate like a family, extending that warmth to our patients as well.
